The goal of the initiative is to catalyze social entrepreneurship among young people through the development of ideas that will help find the best homegrown solutions to the Africa’s development challenges.
The initiative teaches on Sustainability and SDGs and we believe in empowering young people in tertiary learning institutions. Our goal is for them to leverage their administrative and student networks in developing their ideas and creating thriving social enterprises.
- Inspired by Nobel laureate, the late Wangari Maathai’s ‘Little Thing’ of planting trees, we encourage innovation by undergraduate university students around the Sustainable Development Goals by promoting SDGs-led education.
- Through the initiative, MK-Africa works with partners such as Safaricom, Cambridge University Institute of Sustainability Leadership, UNDP Kenya, South African Airways, Crew 2030 platform and PKF East Africa.
